Balance...

Hey Readers,
So as of lately, balance has become a big problem for me. School, job, friends, family, music, etc.
With all of my college stuff coming up in the fall, I'll admit to being a little stressed as to not know how all will turn out. I am hoping for decent scores. My job is going okay. I never thought I'd be able to fit in with a job at a hardware store, but I guess I proved myself wrong on that one. Friends and family are both great. I love being around as many of them as I can get at any point. What can I say? I AM definitely a people person. Music is going fine. Orchestra is busy, as we prepare for Fiddler's Jamboree yet again this year. I've decided at the last second to take on the practice required to go to the said event. I am excited though, for the actual concert coming up in the spring, it's going to occur on MY turf. Yup, we're playing at the high school in my town... eek! (really excited)

I have something else to add to my busyness. I am head-over-heals for someone right now. I am afraid to get into any form of a relationship and have it ended on me, though. Being busy all the time, doesn't seem like something a guy is going to want to be involved with. You never know, though. Maybe things will work out this time. All I can do is hope.
I will say that he is absolutely amazing. We have so much in common, which makes him really easy to talk to. He's smart, almost as much as a music dork as I am, and well... perfect.

I say all of this and my brain goes, "Wait till after college". Yet, what if I miss this opportunity? I don't want to go through life going "What if this...? Or, what if that...?" Ya know? There is nothing good about those situations, as I have already found out. So, no. I can't wait till college, not with this.

Anyways, I'm sure ya'll are absolutely enjoying reading my vicious debate over all of this.. (heavy sarcasm)
Yet, I could be missing on opportunities as we speak.
Gots to go,
Thanks for reading!!

Reflecting Back On Valentines Day

Flowers, cards with cute little poems, chocolates, and many other gestures of affections. Welcome to Valentines Day, the holiday to celebrate love. A day to show family, friends, and that special someone how much you care.

Valentines day is celebrated in many different ways. It made me curious as to how my readers celebrated yesterday. Those in a relationship, how did you celebrate? Did you get out and do anything special with your boyfriend/girlfriend? And my single readers, how did you celebrate? At the end of the night, how many of you were able to change your relationship status on things like Facebook? Please post below and let me know how you spent yesterday.

I spent yesterday from 7:30am to 3pm doing school. Then, I read a little and enjoyed some sketching. As of lately, I have been sketching more and more. Animals are the easiest for me to sketch, and they look the best when I am done. Haha, my people have an alien-like affect to them when I sketch them. Either animals or inanimate objects, I'll sketch, dependent upon my mood. Yesterday, I sketched animals. I did a little creative writing, and ended my artsy evening by jamming to some songs on my Ipod. My family and I celebrated our Valentines Day over dinner. Mom made awesome pizza. She has been experimenting some recipes on us. She made two pizzas last night, a BBQ one and a bacon/chicken/ranch one. Personally, the latter was my favorite. It had bacon, and (honestly) anything with bacon takes top place with me. Ever since my mom found out she couldn't have bacon (or anything pork, for that matter), we have had to make do without it. Which, has made me quite sad...
Anyways, Mom decorated and arranged some really cute cupcakes. Rose and Matthew handed out their handmade valentines. Rose performed a ballet, lyrical, tap routine for us, which was choreographed pretty nicely if I do say so.
Then, I chatted it up on Facebook before heading to bed. There was a hockey game on last night, which held absolutely no interest of mine (even though I heard the Red Wings made history...).

I didn't spend Valentines Day in any romantic way, with anyone 'special'. Trust me, I wanted to (secretly) (no, my family would disagree on the secrecy part...haha). I keep trying to tell myself to make it through at least high school... yet, I feel like that goal may be a little hard to stick with. So, I don't know, maybe next Valentines Day will be different. All a girl can do is hope.... :)

Anyways, post your adventures of yesterday!!!! Love to hear what ya'll did!!!
Thanks for reading!!!

Part of My 'Bucket List'

Goodness, at age seventeen, I cannot believe that I have begun to think of such a topic. I mean, really, I'm not really sure what inspired this. Yet, I have a VERY long list of things I would like to do before my time is up. Here is part of that list-
1. Be an extra in a movie. (That or part of the stunt crew)
2. Go and see a Broadway play.

18. Talk in the Shakespearean language for an entire day.
19. Sing in front of a live audience.
20. Bring joy to someone who's spirits have been crushed entirely.
21. Identify the people who have inspired me most in my life, and tell them.
22. Get a complete makeover- Get a different hairstyle, hair color, clothes, etc.
23. Invite a bunch of British people over to my house, and go tell my neighbors that the British are coming.
24. Learn how to shoot a gun.
25. Wear a "Free Hugs" t-shirt, and aim to get over 1,000 hugs.
26. Go into a really, really crowded elevator, and with a straight face say, "I'm sure you are all wondering why you've been gathered here".
27. Go skydiving.
28. Retire to somewhere REALLY WARM.
29. Learn how to figure skate.
30. Compose a song.

December Wishes

Hey Guys,
How are y'all doing? I'm doing just fine.
How was your fall? Mine was okay. I'll be the first to admit that this wasn't my best fall ever. All I can do is learn from the mistakes I have made, and try for a better fall next year.
I didn't get much of a chance to enjoy the colors of the leaves changing, which is disappointing on my part. That is something I like to enjoy each year, so I definitely feel like I missed out. Snow keeps coming and going, yet it doesn't seem to be staying at all. Hopefully it hurries up and decides to stay before too long. I like to ski, so it's understandable why I feel this way. Ooh... but I will be trying snowboarding (at some point) this winter!! I am excited. I like to try or learn new things. It would be fairly boring to go through life, if I didn't. Talking of learning, I have learned so much at my workplace!! I learned how to mix paint, and (most recently, and not at all well yet) print deer licenses. I love working. This job is my first, and I am grateful for it. The atmosphere is easy to work in, and I have AMAZING co-workers. Sometimes they can be a pain to work with, but then again... it could be worse. Most important of all, my boss. He is the coolest, and quite possibly one of the nicest bosses I'll have while I am working by employers. Once I graduate college and all, I am hoping to be my own boss. It's not that I don't enjoy working for someone, because that's not the case at all. I just find it would be nice to set my own schedule, rates, and be an awesome boss for others. To be able to travel, helping others.
Anyways, somehow I managed to get WAY off-course for my reason for posting today. I wanted to announce my wishes for this December. My birthday is coming up on the 20th. This year, I don't wish for any gifts. This year, I wish just to be surrounded by my friends and family. You all are the greatest gift I have received. I would feel terrible for requesting more than what you all have already provided me with. So many go through life alone. Yet, I am gifted through a grand abundance of loved ones. So, thank you all. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am, as I feel words cannot even begin to show how much.
Hugs to all!!!
Thanks again,

Orchestra Fun... :D

Hey Everybody!
How are you guys? I am well. Are you all enjoying the start of fall? I know I am. The leaves are changing into beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow. Although, it is getting really chilly at night (I am not too fond of the cold). Oh well, I have tried to make it outside, but I have been quite involved in work, school, orchestra, etc. to do so.
Talking of what often keeps me preoccupied, orchestra started back up!! I am so excited. I love orchestra, so much! My conductor always seems to pick some really interesting pieces, to say the least. Last winter, we had some Beethoven pieces. They were fun, don't get me wrong, but they were also a pain to learn. This year, we have a fun piece to learn called 'Remote Control'. The piece is fun to imagine a scenario to try and imagine while you are playing it.
I like to imagine this:
There is this impatient, little, old guy sitting in a couch with his feet propped up. He is almost bald, and has a bit of a beard. He has a half-eaten meal on one side of him, and a box of tissues to the other. He's wearing overalls, and a red/black plaid shirt. He is in this terrible mood as he flips on the TV. Impatiently, he scans what's on. He finds nothing to his liking. He flips the stations, pauses, fast forwards through shows, and mutes these shows. He's just absolutely ticked as he flips through the stations faster and faster, then finally finds one to his liking as the show on that station ends.
Fun, eh? Trust me, there are a lot more you can make up for this song. Anything from cats, to grumpy old men can make this song even more fun. The only thing that I disagree with this song, is the fact that I OF ALL PEOPLE have to sing. Yup, me. There are parts from the Broadway show 'Mamma Mia', that our conductor has everybody on the 'outside chair' (see below) in the orchestra singing. He has the people on the inside chair plucking their strings. You can only imagine that I am hopeful for the inside chair at our concert. Oh well, I am practicing both the plucking and the singing. As always, though, I am attempting at having as much fun as humanly possible while doing it. :)
Talk to you all later,

Summer...

Hey Guys!
How are you? I am well.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I have been pretty busy.
Summer has been decent to me, I haven't been able to report any sunburns or anything else like that. As school continues through the summer, it leaves me working on projects and (eventually) getting ahead. After I finish school for the day, I like to go someplace quiet. It gives me time to think, rest, and (sometimes) time to be alone.   Recently, I have made it so that when I am alone I have to exercise. I got fed up with everyone telling me that I needed to lose some weight, and so I am doing something about it. Though it hasn't shown up, as significantly as I'd like anyway, I have felt a lot better. When you go through the weight loss progress, the first week is really hard. I found that as the weeks went along, I began feeling healthier and full of energy. So that is one new thing.
Elise and I recently had a performance. We were hired by two different groups in one week. We went to play at _________ Inn, which was a bed and breakfast. We also played at an event for our arts center. The whole event funds the center throughout the year, so we acted as student representatives of our orchestra. Have I mentioned that we were named as the official arts center's youth music trio? We were hoping our performances at both locations gave our trio a little bit a publicity. Hopefully, we shall be hired again.
Well, I shall post again soon!!
Thanks for reading!!

Yesterday...

Hey Guys,
How are you? I am doing pretty good. Yesterday, I posted to my Facebook wall that I was having a bad day. I immediately got a lot of supportive responses (thank you guys!!). I feel like I should explain a little bit more about why it was so bad...

Yesterday, I awoke pretty early. I had the intentions of having a really good day. Especially, in my Driver's Ed class. I wrote a blog post, got around for the day, ate my breakfast, and prepared to walk down for Driver's Ed. I was suppose to go down early, and meet my sister to grab the shared 'children's phone'. We never did meet up, even though I spent a lot of time (prior to class) looking for her. Then, I remembered that my mom wanted me to go and apologize to a girl. See, I was suppose to go and 'talk to her for a sec, (after class) because she had something really important to tell me'. I walked to the front door, and found her outside alone. I was getting really bad vibes about going out there. So, I turned around and went out the back door. When I got to class yesterday, I went over and apologized for not meeting her. She immediately proceeded to say "F*** You" to me. After she finished the first word, and had started the second, I turned abruptly on my heel and walked away. People continue to ask me if I think I made the right move. Personally, I would not have done anything different. If she said that to me for apologizing, then, what would she have said to me if I had met her? I would have to think it wouldn't have been any better. On my way home, I was furious. Nobody had ever said anything like that to me before. I managed to hit my head hard enough against a door, that it is all swollen up today. I accidentally rammed my foot into a rock of about the same size. Both injuries hurt today, and both were inflicted out of my anger. I am disappointed in myself for letting my anger do that to me. More than disappointed in that, I am disappointed that someone at that girl's level caused me to get all riled up. I learned the value of the lesson 'treat people the way you want to be treated'. I would not want to cause another girl to get as mad and upset as I was, because I said something like that to her.
Yesterday, was full of other little things, that eventually made it a really bad day. My hope is, is since I don't have Driver's Ed today, today will be a good day just to sit back and try to have a good day. My next and final Driver's Ed class is tomorrow. I plan to go in, and show no mercy as far as how pleasant I intend to be.
Thank you to all who said supportive things on my Facebook wall. To get up this morning, and read them was very uplifting to my degraded spirit from yesterday.
Thank you!!

Library Fun

Hey Guys!
How are you? I am doing pretty good. How's your week been? Mine has been okay. I spent a couple hours at the library the other day. Somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. It was a nice break, from the usual chaos at my house. : )
Actually, I love books. So, it was very enjoyable. Also, a friend of mine showed up. We hung out till he had to go. It was nice, since I hadn't seen him in quite a while. About three weeks or so, if I had to guess. Friend reunions, even if the time not seen between each other is measured in weeks and not months, are great. I love getting back together with my friends.
I came home with two bags full of books. Probably twenty books or so. It's exciting having new books to read, each filled with an adventure just waiting to be read. The funny part about getting so many, is that I will be ready to return them all by the end of the week (yep, I know today is Thursday). I found that the average amount of pages on the books is 250 pages. All high school reading level books. I'm so excited!!
Thanks for reading!
