Hey Readers,
So as of lately, balance has become a big problem for me. School, job, friends, family, music, etc.
With all of my college stuff coming up in the fall, I'll admit to being a little stressed as to not know how all will turn out. I am hoping for decent scores. My job is going okay. I never thought I'd be able to fit in with a job at a hardware store, but I guess I proved myself wrong on that one. Friends and family are both great. I love being around as many of them as I can get at any point. What can I say? I AM definitely a people person. Music is going fine. Orchestra is busy, as we prepare for Fiddler's Jamboree yet again this year. I've decided at the last second to take on the practice required to go to the said event. I am excited though, for the actual concert coming up in the spring, it's going to occur on MY turf. Yup, we're playing at the high school in my town... eek! (really excited)
I have something else to add to my busyness. I am head-over-heals for someone right now. I am afraid to get into any form of a relationship and have it ended on me, though. Being busy all the time, doesn't seem like something a guy is going to want to be involved with. You never know, though. Maybe things will work out this time. All I can do is hope.
I will say that he is absolutely amazing. We have so much in common, which makes him really easy to talk to. He's smart, almost as much as a music dork as I am, and well... perfect.
I say all of this and my brain goes, "Wait till after college". Yet, what if I miss this opportunity? I don't want to go through life going "What if this...? Or, what if that...?" Ya know? There is nothing good about those situations, as I have already found out. So, no. I can't wait till college, not with this.
Anyways, I'm sure ya'll are absolutely enjoying reading my vicious debate over all of this.. (heavy sarcasm)
Yet, I could be missing on opportunities as we speak.

Orchestra Fun... :D
Hey Everybody!
How are you guys? I am well. Are you all enjoying the start of fall? I know I am. The leaves are changing into beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow. Although, it is getting really chilly at night (I am not too fond of the cold). Oh well, I have tried to make it outside, but I have been quite involved in work, school, orchestra, etc. to do so.
Talking of what often keeps me preoccupied, orchestra started back up!! I am so excited. I love orchestra, so much! My conductor always seems to pick some really interesting pieces, to say the least. Last winter, we had some Beethoven pieces. They were fun, don't get me wrong, but they were also a pain to learn. This year, we have a fun piece to learn called 'Remote Control'. The piece is fun to imagine a scenario to try and imagine while you are playing it.
I like to imagine this:
There is this impatient, little, old guy sitting in a couch with his feet propped up. He is almost bald, and has a bit of a beard. He has a half-eaten meal on one side of him, and a box of tissues to the other. He's wearing overalls, and a red/black plaid shirt. He is in this terrible mood as he flips on the TV. Impatiently, he scans what's on. He finds nothing to his liking. He flips the stations, pauses, fast forwards through shows, and mutes these shows. He's just absolutely ticked as he flips through the stations faster and faster, then finally finds one to his liking as the show on that station ends.
Fun, eh? Trust me, there are a lot more you can make up for this song. Anything from cats, to grumpy old men can make this song even more fun. The only thing that I disagree with this song, is the fact that I OF ALL PEOPLE have to sing. Yup, me. There are parts from the Broadway show 'Mamma Mia', that our conductor has everybody on the 'outside chair' (see below) in the orchestra singing. He has the people on the inside chair plucking their strings. You can only imagine that I am hopeful for the inside chair at our concert. Oh well, I am practicing both the plucking and the singing. As always, though, I am attempting at having as much fun as humanly possible while doing it. :)

Summer...
Hey Guys!
How are you? I am well.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I have been pretty busy.
Summer has been decent to me, I haven't been able to report any sunburns or anything else like that. As school continues through the summer, it leaves me working on projects and (eventually) getting ahead. After I finish school for the day, I like to go someplace quiet. It gives me time to think, rest, and (sometimes) time to be alone. Recently, I have made it so that when I am alone I have to exercise. I got fed up with everyone telling me that I needed to lose some weight, and so I am doing something about it. Though it hasn't shown up, as significantly as I'd like anyway, I have felt a lot better. When you go through the weight loss progress, the first week is really hard. I found that as the weeks went along, I began feeling healthier and full of energy. So that is one new thing.
Elise and I recently had a performance. We were hired by two different groups in one week. We went to play at _________ Inn, which was a bed and breakfast. We also played at an event for our arts center. The whole event funds the center throughout the year, so we acted as student representatives of our orchestra. My Weekend (Part 3)
Hey Guys!
Here is what happened Sunday, hope you enjoy.
We awoke, to yet another of Grandma breakfasts. As always, it was delicious! Yet, I feel bad that I sleep in long enough that breakfast is made by the time that I get up. So, I cleaned up after they got done preparing the food. Mom and Dad left early, to spend some time with their friends before we left. We spent the morning taking walks, and enjoying the company of our grandparents. When lunch came around, Mom and Dad came back. With pizza, too. Though, we were all disappointed that there wasn't any pizza leftover. We left for the U2 concert at 3pm. Due to the fact that Mom and Dad had saw a lot of traffic around Lansing already. So, after applying a massive amount of sunscreen, the four of us (that had decided to go) piled into the van. It was Dad, Elise, Matthew, and I. We arrived at Spartan Stadium at about 4pm or so. There was a decent crowd that had already formed. We went and got our souvenirs ahead of time. Elise and I got key chains, as we have just completed Driver's Ed. Well I have, but Elise still has Segment 2 to complete. Then we found a quiet, shady spot to sit in and wait for the gates to open at 5:30pm. When they did, a massive crowd piled into the stadium. The concession stands were open, and people walked around selling water bottles. Dad began the search for the Spartan Statue. Eventually, after looking for him long enough, Dad asked a 'Event Host' for directions to him. She said that he was off-limits for the day. Yet, figuring out that we weren't from the area, she went to talk to her manager. When she came back, she motioned us to follow her. She led us back to a large room, and there he stood. Bronze and glossy, tall and strong. There, right in front of us, stood Sparty. One of the ladies, whom was sitting back there, offered to take our picture for us. Handing over a camera, we all posed next to Sparty. Thanking them as we went, we were marched back out to the crowds. Dad recommended that we find our seats. So, we bought some water and took to sitting in our seats. After waiting some time, 7pm rolled around. Everyone sat in anticipation, waiting for Florence and the Machine to take to the stage. Then the crowds cheered, and out they came. First the band members, all dressed in black. Then Florence, who was dressed in a bright pink dress. It was the wackiest thing that I have ever seen, seeing her perform. She was running around on the stage, bouncing, and for some songs she even did some drumming. Though, I found it hard not to think of her as an amazing performer. As she left the stage, a crew came up and prepared for U2. It was probably anywhere between a half an hour, to forty minutes before the crowd roared again. This time it was much louder than before. Then four band members appeared. Larry Mullen Jr., The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Bono took to the stage. Then, the wonderful sound came. As the Edge, and Adam picked up their guitars there was cheering. Larry got to the drums, and Bono to the microphone, then the music started. They opened with the song 'Even Better Than the Real Thing'. It was incredible!! I had listened to that song so many times, that to hear it at a concert... amazing. The drummer's stand was moving. Sometimes he would be facing the front of the stage, and others he'd be facing towards the back of the stage. When the sun went down, the lights were on full blast. They gave an awesome show, and (personally) I couldn't hope to pick a 'favorite part' of it all. When we went home, my family and I were in awe. It was quite possibly the biggest concert that my siblings and I may ever go to. Yet, you never know. ; )
